Red Sox release Bobby Jenks- White Sox release Will Ohman

 

– The Boston Red Sox parted ways with right handed pitcher Bobby Jenks according to Craig Calcaterra of NBCSports.com. Calcaterra adds that both parts “reached a contract termination settlement.” Jenks, 31, hasn’t pitched in 2012 yet. In 2011 he went 2-2 with a 6.32 ERA, 0.6 HR/9, 7.5 BB/9 and 9.8 SO/9 in 15.2 innings with the Red Sox.

– The Chicago White Sox released left handed pitcher Will Ohman the team have announced. He was designated for assignment last week. Ohman, 34, went 0-2 with a 5.84 ERA, 1.8 HR/9, 1.5 BB/9 and 4.4 SO/9 in 24.2 innings with the White Sox in 2012.
