Marlins sign John Maine to Minor League deal

The Miami Marlins have signed John Maine to a minor-league deal, Jon Frisaro of MLB.com reports. The deal includes an invite to Spring Training.

Maine who last appeared in the Majors in 2010, spent last season at the Yankees Triple-A affiliate where he went 8-5 with a 4.97 ERA in 16 games.

In 2010 with the Mets, Maine went 1-3 with a 6.13 ERA and a career best 8.8 K/9.
